Yoga Nidra is the ultimate stress-busting solution for replenishing the brain and body after a busy day. Before class begins gather up any prop(s) you’d enjoy getting cozy with for this guided journey. I highly recommend an eye pillow if you have one! Once class starts, I’ll guide you through a bit of gentle movement (seated) before we lay back and find stillness. You’ll feel rested and ready to take on another day after incorporating this guided practice into your routine! Nidra resets the central nervous system, relieves stress and anxiety, improves sleep, increases dopamine, lowers blood pressure, improves memory function, and More! I look forward to seeing you in class!

Nikki Donoghue, our newest Yoga Collective AK teacher, is an Army wife currently living in Eagle River, Alaska, and loving every minute of it. A Florida native, she can frequently be quoted saying, “Mountains are the best scenery!” Nikki received her training in 2018 from Kimberly Greeff, creator of Evolve Yoga, at Spirit Path Yoga & Wellness after many years of practice with Jody Reece at her home studio, Inside Out Yoga, in central Florida. Now proficient in Yoga Nidra, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and the myofascial technique of The Roll Model Method, Nikki is nothing short of informed. A firm believer in slowing down amid a stress-driven society, Nikki gravitates towards the more down-regulating styles of yoga, encouraging students to connect deeper to their breath and own self-care needs. Nikki also specializes in metaphysical traditions, often fusing in different themes of spirituality in her classes, inspiring deeper integration of mind, body, and soul. Currently certified as a Reiki Lvl 2 energy practitioner, as well as a tarot and astrology reader, Nikki’s curiosity for mysticism and wellness seems never ending. If long-term wellness goals in a safe and nurturing container are what you seek from a mentor committed to providing guidance from an authentic place of non-judgment, then look no further. Nikki believes in magic and transformation in all!
